because I was watching a bunch (around twenty) outdoor videos, youtube suggested me your channel (five of those channels are german, cause i'm from Germany) youtube recommended me your channel and you have luckily a bit of a different approach to hiking in generell. With most of the videos you were pointing out things a experienced on my own already. I started this hobby at 16, now beeing 42, beeing in Iceland, Scotland, Ireland, Sweden, Swiss, Italy, Austria and Germany. At the beginning youtube wasn't a thing, so I did just what made sense to me, and seeing now, that I wasn't completely wrong with that. And that Backpacking changes with experience and growing older, getting health issues and adapting accordingly. At the moment I'm stucked at home due to Lyme desease...but getting out today for an overnighter just 1 Km away at a riverbank. No walking just enjoying time outside with the tent. Pivoting the original plan;-). Well, each video of yours contained something I had experienced and concluded on my own. Just one thing about the calorie calculator. I think it might be helpful to ad maybe the walking hours per day, I guess, but maybe I 'm wrong that it might well a difference if you hke for 2 to 3 hours or 6-8. Big thank you for eveything you do I felt confident i trusting my gut, rethink my packinglist, not trying to be ultralight....because sometimes I forgot that backpacking is also about safty and comfort. I made breaks avery 45 to 60 minutes despite beeing hungry or tired, cause I learnd over the years that that makes me fitterbon the trail but thought I was beeing "lazy" by doing that. Tassis conditions are different and more similar to Iceland or the scottish Highlands and that for those areas you need a different approach. Also reorganizing my packing order, which makes/made me take down the tent in rain even fast as if it wasn't raining
