Mowser's tent review has very much mirrored my tent usage and knowledge spanning more than fifty years. His current assessment covers all of my go to points such as fly pitch first, dual entrances, correct build weight for the season and tent material. Wind is also a factor in selecting a tent as choices will vary if used in UK, Europe Canada, United States and of course Tasmania or any mountain region. I can also recommend Mowser's "Pathfinder" book for beginners and a reference book for the future for all ages.
My two current tents are Durston X-Mid 1 and X-Dome 1+. both Solids.
